Job Title: PCU Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PCU Nurse to join our team. The PCU Nurse will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patient progress in the PCU
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions and how to manage them at home
- Maintain accurate medical records and reports
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on advancements in nursing care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
